01 March I opend new account at Kemptonpark Festival mall branch. They had a promotion of R100 for first debit order. 1 April without any warning they disconnected and I found out that they didn't debit the amount. After making trip to the branch, they told it is not their problem and must go to the other branch in Kempton CBD. Not very pleasant enviorment. They indicated that somehow the debit order wasn't registered on their system and we need to pay re-connection fee. That was the moment I lost. I managed to get an apology from head office and taken off re-connection fee. Today is 16th of April, I just thought give them a call to make sure.
I've mentioned that what about the promotion you ran? They're now telling me sorry that was only for the March. Is this how the business works? For their own mistake I'm not benefiting of thier own promotion?
It is not about the amount. It is a principle of accepting your fault!
Have you heard about the rain cheque? When shop runs out with promotional item, they give you a credit to re-purchase any other time. That is what you call committment and willing to take responsibility
Do the right thing! Keep it to your promise!
