Don't accept complementary tickets for movie

Firstly I joined Fanat1cs over a year ago. I went to see a movie this afternoon. I noticed that you receive a free
movie ticket for your birthday. Would have been nice to receive and email to that effect. I have not had any emails since I joined to advise specials etc, so what's the point?
Then again, my daughter had two free tickets as part of the night out for two promo, which were not strictly free as she paid for the package. We could not use them for our choice of movie, 5 movies were excluding vouchers. So what's the point?
