I was very unhappy when I woke this morning to an sms saying R1217 has been taken off my account by multichoice.

Firstly, I was unhappy about the amount. I reconnected DSTV on the 1st of February and was told that my account would be debited on the 5th of Feb, which it wasn't. So I get that the amount of R1217 is for 2 months, but why am I now paying in advance for next month when for the previous month it was in arrears? ONLY the payment for February should have come off my account!! When I first set up my account I indicated I wanted to pay in arrears so I want the 'payment in advance' for next month to be paid back into my bank account ASAP.

Even more disturbing is that even though my account was debited this morning, I got an email from a company called VeriCred saying that I have an outstanding account with multichoice of R629.33 and that "Debt collection measures will be instituted against you". Firstly this should never happen as I pay via debit order. Secondly, I have paid EVERYTHING up to date, and have now been notified that my credit rating will be badly affected?! Nobody will get back to me either!

This needs to rectified with utmost urgency! Terrible service DSTV!
