Blocked PVR1 from viewing

Recreation & Entertainment

On Monday 20 January 2014 multichoice blocked all subscribers using PVR1 decoders, we paid R3200 for it. No subscribers were forewarned, yet they do have mail service options which they chose not to use, they should have advised this on all channels at regular intervals warning subscribers of their intentions, thereby giving us the option to make informed decisions. We are pensioners and cannot afford this forced costs. We tried to call and use emails, the answers given for this problem is obscure, I feel we are being to. They are in breach as we paid to view the channels we subscribed to, they made a decision we were not informed of beforehand and should refund subscribers the costs incurred. We live in Allanridge and had to travel to Welkom! We travelled 80 km and have to repeat it again today! They incurred extra costs to us when it is their breach. R F Tecnologies did the upgrade on our PVR1 as instructed by Multichoice, only to be found to be incorrect. Staff is possibly not trained proper as this misinformation should not have happened. They must try to offer honest upfront service. I feel they owe me all the travel costs and another decoder for all the inconvenience.
