DSTV Explora Great but I just bought the old HDPVR

Last year during September, we decided to upgrade to an HD PVR as we had bought an HD TV. When I called DSTV to ask about this product, I asked if there was a new decoder on the way, as we would wait. I was told that nothing was planned, so I went ahead and spent R1, 500 to get the HD PVR. So great, now you have a new decoder with all the features I missed from the SD PVR (DMX DJ, keeping the buffer on channel change). However now I have to throw away R1, 500 I spent 11 months ago and pay R2, 500 for the new one! Why is DSTV not offering a trade-in service for decoders less than a year old? I would be happy to pay an additional R1, 500 to get the Explora, but it will have cost me R4, 000 in total, if I buy a new one now. I am asking DSTV to think about their customers (for once). Offer us a TRADE IN!
