Proprentors not returning deposit

I started to rent a property from Proprentors in 2011 and when it came time to renew my contract, i did so with Proprentors. A few days after signing the contract the owner wanted to see me and then informed me that he was going to rent his property through another agent due to Proprentors not paying the rent over in the agreed time. We agreed that I would sign a new contract with the new agent and that Proprentors will pay my deposit out and i will then transfer it to the new agent.

As required by law, Proprentors was suppose to pay my deposit out within 14days. Its been more than a month and after countless emails, calls and promises made by Proprentors, I still dont have my deposit.

After the last phone call, it became apparent that my deposit wasnt payed into a trust as required by law, but that the agent had used is for his personal use. I am now considering legal and criminal charges against the agent.
