MX8 Unit needs repairs - again

Purchased my MX8 22 months ago, and the unit worked fine for the first 16 months - great start.

Then there was a problem with the gears - unit went in for repairs, and was in repairs for 2 weeks. Got then unit back, only to have it fail again - the repair company forgot to put 2 screws back into the unit.

Zodiac came out and replaced my unit with one of a similar age. No more issues.

Then on the weekend, the pipes suddenly wont connect to the unit - strange. On checking the unit I found that one of the pieces has seperated from the main unit - took the part to an authorised Zodiac dealer who advised they dont carry that spare...

Called Zodiac, and was advised that the entire top of the MX8 needs to be replaced - as the faulty piece is welded to the unit and this is not covered under the 36 months warranty, and the cost will be R350.00.

When I queried this I was told it is not a manufacturing defect...

Tried escalating my query, but it seems the client service manager is always out, and the call centre agent can do nothing without his approval.

Please get a competent service agent or manager to contact me.
