I rented property from Dicksons Real Estates for 18 months and received nothing but poor service throughout this time. However, this is nothing compared to the service, attitude and non-compliance with rental legislation since I have vacated the premises.

To name just a few of the issues I have experienced with them:

1. Failure to deal with complaints pertaining to the condition of the flat when raised;

2. Insisting on utilising inexperienced and unqualified estate agents to do outgoing inspections resulting in unacceptable levels of work;

3. Deducting monies from my deposit to effect repairs that are not necessary. These repairs are based on photos that are not even of my flat. No one from Dicksons has even visited my flat - just their unqualified representative;

4. Refusal to refund monies paid for security tags purchased despite promising to do so and me actually returning the tags. They are effectively this money from me;

5. Insisting on setting up inspections at my flat during office works and making no effort to do it at a reasonable time;

If at all possible, avoid any property managed by Dicksons Estates - the headaches and rip off is just not worth it.
