Still sending me bills 8 months after house sold

We sold our Town House roughly 8 months ago.
At the time of the sale Renprop did a summary of all our debt and an estimate of the water and electricity for the next three months.

We settle all out debt with them and the house sale goes through.
Three months after the sale went through they come back and give us a huge water bill that we now owe them.
The house has been sold for 8 months now and they are still sending me levy statements every month.

This is ridiculous!!
And then they threaten us with lawyers for the outstanding amount.
They should have declared any debt at the time of transfer not after.
