Stay away from Seeff if you need a managing agent!

Thanks to the poor service I have received for almost a year from Seeff (Strand) I have lost thousands of rands! Every problem that arises with my rental property in the Strand takes months to resolve. It is a constant battle to get this managing agent to carry out instructions or to follow up on any issue that comes to their attention. Numerous emails must be sent and calls made to get answers out of Seeff! At present I sent an email on 30 August 2013 requesting urgent feedback on a number of matters. To date I have received no response. I reside in Jhb, as the owner of a rental property in the Strand one looks to managing agents to act in your best interests because you don't reside in the area. They advertise themselves as "one of the leading, most professional residential property companies in SA". Their service is anything but professional!!! Steer clear and avoid the head aches they will cause you!!!
