We are two young girls innocently looking for property to rent in Cape Town. We came across this really awesome property with a very good price for what it was offering and decided to pursue it further. Turns out the owner, Mr Jawad Jaques (who wrote us a very friendly story about himself living in Britain) wanted the deposit and one month's rent first before sending the keys even to see the place! Having our suspicions about it being a, we emailed another property with similar location and price and another Mr Mumasim Pillay sent us the exact word for word story, also from Britain... this is clearly a!!! Please do not fall for their antics!!! And help us make renting and viewing property safe!
I urge Private Property Listings to make their site safer for all by adding filters and doing regular checks on property.
