A concerned parent

Politics & Government

I am a parent of a grade 7 pupil and am very disappointed by the way the teachers have handled my child's move to another school. The teachers of Modibone Primary school in Limpopo refuse to give my child a term 1 report as they are on a go slow. How are we supposed to apply for highschools without the report, as we moved to a different province. I find it inconsiderate of the department and the Principal not to be able to supply these learners with reports. So now our children must miss out on getting into good highschools due to the selfishness and arrogance of teachers striking for nothing. While their kids are in private schools and enjoying their luxuries. Applications for highschool in Gauteng close on 10 May and I have still had no luck. My child may miss out on top schools due to teachers on strike for no reason, what do our children have to do with why they are striking. It sure as is not for an increase, so their reasons are futile and petty, just another excuse to not go to work. SADTU and Cosatu should be the ones fighting for the Minister to resign not the educators.
