After battling for nearly two years to get UGU to rectify a non working water meter at our property in Shelly Beach and having being charged a thumb figure every month for this period (and every 3rd month the bill actually showed ACTUAL READING) which we dutifully paid on time, this was eventually sorted out after many trips and discussions. A credit was passed to us and in October 2012 we finally sold the property and moved away, Thapelo, the person i dealt with and whose voice i have on a recording on my cellphone confirmed we are due a credit of over R3000.00 which will be paid into our account 45 days after we handed in our notice of sale of property. Guess what, it is now 5 months later and still no money, phonecall and emails go unanswered. Be very wary when dealing with this municipality as they overcharge and are loathe to deliver on services or customer care. Oh and i don't expect any feedback on this forum from them either because they couldn't be bothered to respond to any other form of communication either.
