Waiting for my ID for more than a year now

Good day,

Eventhough I do not have the exact dates here with me but I have been to Home affairs Manguze more than 5 times and have waited for more than a year to get my ID. From last year september i am still waiting for home affairs to verify my ID. This has affected me a lot. I will be registering my matric soon with a wrong surname since I still do not have an ID. I have called the call centre more than 4 times already and everytime I call I am being told 1 and the same thing... CALL AGAIN AFTER 2 WEEKS to find out. The home affairs branch is about 25 km away from home and everytime I go there I have t ask mom from her pension allowance bus fare which is not always available. Please assist
