Natal Zoo
Poor Zoo animals

I visited the Natal Zoo this week, and was disgusted at the lack of care and the utter state of disrepair that is evident at the zoo. the animal enclosures were overgrown bushes, with ponds dried up (some green with algae) the cages for th birds and monkeys were rusting and rotting away. i am surprised that animals are still kept ther. there were a few tigers, leopards, lions and chimps, but they looked sad and obviously were imprisoned rather than cared for. shame on the municipality for allowing this place to deteriorate to this level, and still charge R50 per person to witness this travesty of justice.
