Serious attitude and hygiene problem

Visiting our local public pool turns into a bad day. We enter at the gate paying just as everyone else does. No alcohol allowed so I carry two folding chairs, a cooler box with cold drinks in and on top of it a braai with a bag of charcoal in it. Its so clear that i am going to lite a charcoal fire. I pay the entrance and no one says anything about the braai goods. I lite the fire wait and start to braai, not even giving a second thought cause we have been coming here for years. Then the same young gent that was so eager to take my money approaches me telling me to douse the fire as we are now only allowed to braai with gas at this facility. We decide to leave rather than get into an argument with him. Meat half cooked we leave. The young man said everybody knows we are no longer allowed to have charcoal fires at the facility. There was no signs put up to say gas braais only and when asked why I wasn't stopped at the entrance I received no answer. I was only told we wont get a refund. Man these guys are desperate for R30.Some people were using alcohol and there was some poo next to the pool in 3 different places. Pretty pathetic!!! Never will we go there again.
