Metro Police
Noise pollution

Politics & Government

Under the noise pollution law of south africa it says a residential area must be noise free from 22h00.now if a person decides to open a tarven in a residential area does the law change? I have been phoning every week because unlike some people I have to work weekends.and to be productive I need my rest.but recently every weekend morotolola and moetapele street, Lotus gardens the person who has opened a tarven makes noise and plays his music the whole night.as a result sleeping during weekends has been a thing of the past. I am not a direct neighbour and I wonder what's happening to the ears of the neighbours.is it because its rdp houses? does the law change? have I now lost my rights due to me staying here! what does metro police do in this case?
