SAPS: Professional, Humble. Awesome Service

My family and I were unfortunate to have our house broken in to. Despite this, I placed one phone call to 10111 and reported the incident. Within 15 minutes a police van was at my house with 2 officers.
Both officers were professional, understanding and courteous.

My statement was taken and they left. Within the hour after that we received an SMS stating the case had been opened. Less than 24 hours later, the next morning (on a Sunday no less!) we received a call from the Sandton Police Station.
They enquired as to how we are doing, if everything is alright and if we needed any counselling. They enquired about the incident to find out if anyone was hurt and if they could assist us in any way. Absolutely astounding service.

The Forensics unit arrived as promised on Monday (public holiday!) morning to take fingerprints and analyse the scene. He too was professional, friendly and answered all our questions.

I count 3 days since the incident and a phone call on each day to enquire about the well being (mentally and emotionally) of myself and my family. This has blown us away and we salute you SAPS.

Many criticize too quickly, but you are brilliant! Great job. Keep it up.
