Traffic Officers do not know what they are DOING

Politics & Government

I work in the Springfield Park area for the last 6 years and have to pass the N2 Umgeni Road Interchange everyday, Yesterday as i was going home and nearing the N2 Robots their was a small accident and traffic officers were on site. I was in the correct lane that everybody uses to go on the N2 and this lane is from the Inanda bridge and it still stays a lane right through to the N2 robots, but apparently the officer did not think so. He assumed that we were cutting in from the left lane which was full of bull as we were right by him so he could have seen our vehicles. The officer then told us that we can't go that way and will have to go down Umgeni Road and turn and came back up to join the N2.I then asked the officer what was the reason for this and he replied that we were not in the proper lane and we are not allowed to go on the painted island. I did not understand his reason as that was a painted island before the construction could take place and once the construction was up it was made a lane, if we were not allowed to use it as a lane it should have had concrete bolders so the public are aware and will be in their correct lanes.
