Officials from the department of human settlements in kzn have been accepting bribes and are selling RDP houses in the Welbedacht Chatsworth project. Many families are left without homes due to corrupt officials selling these houses to ppl living out of the area. Reports have been sent but not received by the MEC. Our family of 8 adults are currently living in a 1 and half bedroom RDP house and we are told that we do not qualify for a second house. Other single adults under the age of 25 have their own RDP house and are not living there. There is a family who had bought aroumd 5 houses at R6000 each who are not living there. Where is the justice in this. An official was paid money in broad daylight yet the department does nothing. We have no more faith in the government. The ANC will definitely not be getting my vote.
