My son has been granted a disability grant but needs to get a SASSA card. This is however proving to be quite a mission. He needs the approval letter from SASSA and this letter has never arrived. The people at the call centre tell me he doesn't have to wait for the approval letter and can just go and fetch his card. He stood waiting from 04h00 in a queue yesterday and was told he needs a letter. This I need to obtain from Eerste River and they gave me a contact number. This number no longer exists. I was given the head offices in Cape towns number and this just goes to voicemail informing me that the mailbox is full and cannot leave a message.
At time of writing this letter I am still trying to get a contact number for someone that can help me.
