CofCapeTown causes property transfer delay

I take no delight in writing this complaint as this is my last resort with the hope of the City of Cape Town (the City) to attend to my urgent query to be issued with a rates clearance certificate.

I am selling my portion of a double erf and the City have misappropriated an unpaid account relating to the other erf to my erf and therefore wants me to pay for this account.

My initial contact with the City is on 5 September 2013 and after numerous correspondence with the City, the matter remains unresolved with no-one wanting to take action. I keep getting referred to the call centre who is trained to deal with simple issues and not with an intricate issue as mine.

I just want the matter to be resolved professionally and efficiently by one of the good employees of the City which I know are out there nut I have not spoken to yet.
