As I read through one of the complaints I was kind of relieved that it wasn't in my head the shocking dealings I've had with SARS, recently I've submitted for a claim with SARS, the first thing I did was go into the branch on the 15th of August and after being sent away twice for banking details, I finally had docs which they would accept so I could change my bank details, everything got checked and signed off and they reassured me that it would be changed in 3 days, so when I knew the time of my refund would be due soon, I phoned Sars to check my details had been updated which was the 4th of September, the guy on the phone reassured me again that sars were still within the 21 days of updating and he could see attachments on the system and again assured money would go into the correct account, this was all on voice recording, followed up on 6th of September at the branch and what was there my old banking details, the consultant then did the whole process, I then asked because she told me the money would be going in the next day whether we should do a stop payment or if the money will go into the correct account, yes she said, on 7th money went into incorrect account, no resolution.
