Walk the talk

Registered for the first time for the 30km walk this year along with a group of friends. We got to Zoo lake at about 8:15. I knew the split for the 30km was nearby, when we got to boards marked 30km and 15km I very clearly asked the marshal where we need to go he said continue straight ahead I asked if he was sure as I saw a taped off section that looked like the split, the marshal said he was sure. Well we landed up being given the wrong instructions and we were stuck on the 15km route. There were many other frustrated 30km walkers around us that were also given then wrong instructions. I'm very disappointed at the poor organisation.
