Tomtom battery issues

Bought a Tomtom 750 Live for around R2000. Worked well for a year. Renewed my Live subscription the next year. Then the battery doesn't charge so Live services won't work. Support people were very unhelpful to assist in replacing battery. I can't even transfer the Live service onto another Totom GPS device so it was a waste of time renewing the subscription. Then got a quote of over R1000 to replace the battery.
Irony is I convinced 4 other people to buy the Tomtom Live. Now I won't ever buy a Tomtom again
