I've been awaiting a registered letter from overseas since February this year. The tracking no. (RI270795904ZA) indicates that it arrived at the Germiston Hub on 27 March and was dispatched to Brakpan on the 31 March, but the Brakpan Post Office claims to have never received it. I've contacted the Germiston Hub and spoken to JacAnton Marai, who has mailed me the documentation indicating that it was dispatched to Brakpan on 31 March. I've had countless articles disappear into the 'black hole' that is Brakpan Post Office. One article was shipped 4 times from the UK, without appearing once, in desperation they finally shipped it to my parent's adress in Pinetown KwaZulu-Natal, where it arrived promptly the first time it was sent there. Since then, I always try have parcels sent to Pinetown instead of Brakpan, but this is not always possible. I was hoping to have better luck with the EMS service believing this to be handled by independent couriers, but sadly the item was ultimately sent to Brakpan Post Office in Voortrekker Rd upon which it promptly vanished from the earth. Germiston is a 15 minute journey from Brakpan, if it is still in transit the driver must be v slow moving...
