Terrible Service

My TV licence has been paid every year promptly however all of a sudden I tried to purchase a new TV and was informed that my TV licence was in arrears by R 2900!!! Yet last year I received a statement reflecting a R 0 balance, how can I possibly be in arrears by R 2900 - I have not even owned a TV set for 10 years yet! After many calls to the accounts department and being informed that they would get back to me nothing has happened and my account has still not been cleared!
