2-4 weeks to cancel your TV Licence

It takes less than 30 minutes to get a TV Licence when you want one. And this year when the renewal came I found out it takes more than 2 months to cancel a TV Licence. I sold my TV last year August and have had a TV Licence for 1 year and no TV, how the must I know that you must call SABC within 30 days of that sale to cancel your TV Licence. They don't tell you this when you buy the TV they just want to make the sale. So anyway I thought I must do the right thing and pay the R250 for this years Licence what a big mistake, as the SABC as saying they don't know if they can refund me the money back. There are so many TV's out there without TV Licences but who cares right. Plus I would love this company to close and cancel my licence as of today
