After Sale Service of Inferior Product

Bought bike almost a year ago (18 Feb 2012) for my son, brand new - but after sales service is non existent, service/repair is pricey, labour charges ridiculous and workmanship questionable - my son got his bike back after it being serviced/repaired for more than 3 weeks (and about the the 4 or 5 service in the last year i might add), while riding his bike home from work the rear axle nut falls off on the n7 and at night - he called to ask zest to collect bike to be repaired as he cannot ride bike with that nut missing, but was quoted R400.00 for a worn thread? before anyone even had a look at the bike (bike still at sons home) - what if he had an accident due to this faulty nut coming off, how do i get this shop to repair the bike once and for all without ripping my son off? I mean really every other month the bike needs to be serviced at roughly R569.00 a pop... of which 340.00 is labour... is there an ombudsman that we can take this too... worried about sons safety on what is now certainly a death trap and not a means of getting to work
