Nissan South Africa
Faulty clutch at 57000 km

Miscellaneous

I drive a 2009 model Nissan Qashqai 2.0 Accenta. I bought the vehicle with 34000km on the clock in September 2012. I use the vehicle for everyday commuting and the odd long trip out of town. The vehicle has done just over approx. 57600km now and I noticed that the clutch was starting to slip. I took the vehicle to Atlantis Nissan in Centurion and they said that the clutch and Flywheel needed to be replaced. This to me is totally unacceptable and I have never heard of a clutch and flywheel being replaced on 57600km's. Is there a problem with the clutch and flywheel on this specific model because surely this can't be normal. Atlantis Nissan charged me R16700 to do the repairs and the warranty that I have does not cover this. My driving style is totally normal and I feel that this is not normal wear and tear. Atlantis Nissan said that they would put in a good will claim at Nissan SA, this was September 2013. I feel that they have been giving me the run around since then. The lady at Atlantis Nissan gave me a different story each week and now she says that it is looking highly unlikely that Nissan SA is going to assist me in anyway with this claim. Did you guys receive this claim?
