Windscreen broken while car was serviced

My Pajero's windscreen was broken while the car was in for a service. I reported it to customer care but received no feedback. The job card shows that the windscreen was not broken when I left the car. Around 9h00 Glass-fit contacted me to tell me the windscreen was broken - Where and how did they get this info?
