Today I wanted to pay the second set of e-toll transactions, via their Violations Processing Centre Web Site, but encountered a serious problem.

The gist of the issue is that SANRAL successfully performed a transaction on my credit card (I confirmed the transaction by logging on to Online banking), however, their web site eventually said (after waiting for several minutes for the process to complete), that the transaction was rejected. But it clearly was not. Reviewing outstanding invoices confirmed that SANRAL did not accept/process the payment made!

So now, I've paid monies to SANRAL, but they did not settle the bill! This in my opinion is.

How can anyone trust this system if this is the type of failures you can expect?

I have logged the issue with then (VPC ref nr:283656).
