Training was cancelled no refund made

This company contacted me with an training for Trustees in November 2013. A young gentleman at this company assisted me in details and I was interested in attending, however, he told me to hold the payment for some reason, that his boss, who I believe to be Michael, is supposed to confirm the program. He then told me that the training was now confirmed and we made payments and bookings for flights and hotels were made.

A few days later I received an email from Michael stating the training has been cancelled for some reason which I feel I should have been told as this can be found as the trainers were not available.

I feel cheated and our Association has lost close to R10, 000 in hotel and flight costs. This company is a and I feel they should be reported as a refund has not been made till today.
