Glen Petz
Fish didn't last 24 hours- Beware

Miscellaneous

I bought two fresh water fish for my daughter on 2 January 2014. The fish set me back a whopping R180 each, so that together with all the food, dechlorifiers, water sanitizer etc set me back just short of R700. They were intended for a fishbowl and I received the rundown on what to do for the next 24 hours in order to introduce the fish to their new environment. (Although this was not the first fish I have had over the last 20 years - it was the 4th)... I FOLLOWED THIS TO THE TEE... At first the one fish looked a bit non responsive, but not knowing the characteristics if this particular breed, we thought nothing of it and proceeded in prepping the new bowel and introducing the fish. But when arriving home from work a day later (today) the one fish had already died with what seems to be the second one may be soon to follow.

I contacted the owners of Glen Petz (glen shopping centre) just to abruptly be responded to with "sorry no guarantees". No solutions, no compensation, no compromise whatsoever irrespective that the fish went belly up in less than a day where every one of my other fish would last for a year/years or more.

All I can say is... BEWARE AND BE CAREFUL.
