I phoned Brian to arrange a quotation for my Opel Astra, he said he would fetch it and diagnose the fault and quote me for the repairs. He said the call out fee for this was R150 which I thought was reasonable, so accepted. He firstly did not arrive on the Friday to collect the car but made an alternate arrangement to fetch it at 9am the Saturday. After a reminder he finally arrived at 11:30. I confirmed again that the R150 was for the tow away, quote and the return should I not have enough to pay for the repairs and he agreed.
I described what had happened, and showed him a burn melted wire under the dashboard, I also explained that the battery was in the boot of the car.
Late Saturday night I got an SMS from him, said he had found a burn wire under the dashboard and needed a deposit of R500 paid immediately into his bank account or in cash to proceed with diagnosis. I did not agree to this and instructed him to put everything back the way it was when he took the car away.
The car was finally returned after many sms's and calls after 10pm on Monday night, he handed me a bill for R180. The next day I realized the battery, some relays and connectors were missing and some body damage
