Failure to honour verbal agreement

I put my name down on a waiting list for a blue ringneck baby. Approx. 6 - 9 months later I received a phone call on 24 September to advise that they had 2 in stock. As the 24th of September was a public holiday and Pets Galore were closing at 2pm, I advised that I would be there the following day. Imagine my utter disgust where upon arrival I found that the ringnecks had already been sold.
