Rutherford's
Damaged Makita Compound Saw

Miscellaneous

I bought a Makita compound circular saw from Mike Lessick Hardware in Kempton Park on the 15th of May 2013, and then did not use it for some time until I started using it in July the 28th and three weeks later the machine started sounding funny and sparking so we discontinued its use unfortunately I could not remember where I had put my invoice so could not take it back to the store.

I eventually found my invoice and after taking the machine to Mike Lessick they then booked the machine in, three weeks later when I follow up I am then presented with a quotation to repair the machine and they say I burnt out the Armature, then I wonder what happened to the guarantee they offered and secondly when I went into the store I explained exactly what I needed the machine for, and they recommended the one I purchased.

Now hardly 6 months the machine has packed up and I now expected to pay R 1 432 for the repairs on a machine that I paid R5 500, this is disappointing by the both suppliers.
