The SACBR core values and code of ethics is just empty promises and pretty words. It is nothing for a backyard breeder to register and sell.

I bought a weimaraner puppy for R5000 from Winterfell Kennels breeders Pieter Fourie and Morne Nagel. At 4 months I'll have to put her down after a R20 000 vet bill for MRI's and various blood test etc. She has spina bifida and laryngeal paralysis polyneuropathy complex all from a bad genetic blood line from both parents my vets made it clear to inform all that they are not allowed to breed any furhter with these so called pure bred dogs. SACBR response just a shoulder shrug - not we will take this breeder immediately of our list, no membership money is much more important the innocent animals!

Please be especially careful to buy from breeders advertising on sites for. e.g. Junkmail; Gumtree; OLX etc. If you do ensure that you see BOTH parents and the conditions they are bred and raised in. Breeders that bred for the love of the race are usually strict and don't just sell a puppy.
