* into paying Monitor Net for doing NULL

In June, a guy came to see me, told me I just need to sign something to allow Monitor Net to go onto the premises of the house we were buying to test alarm and inspect what needs to be done/installed. So I signed it. I asked how much it will cost per month and he said it will be based on the outcome of the inspection any extras we will want to add to it. I explained the owner will only be moving out mid Aug and he said our services will only start once the inspection has been done and we have confirmed what exactly we want additional to what there already is. He also told me that he will only submit any form of paperwork once the inspection has been done. I told a girl that kept phoning me for the installation that we have decided not to connect the alarm and she said all is fine... Now they call me and tell me that what I signed is a contract and I have to start paying now in Sept and if I want to cancel it, I have to pay the fee?? I asked when this started, she said the guy "gave me a free service for the month of July and Aug"... Funny when the previous owner only cancelled in Aug... Ridiculous!! Wonder how many people have been * into paying these people... DONT DO IT
