Bavarian Motorcycles
3 Days becomes 7!

Miscellaneous

I stay in Middelburg Mpumalanga and was on my way to Pretoria when my BMW F650GS stopped just outside of Bronkhorstspruit. Fortunately I could arrange with a friend to get me and the bike to Bavarian Motorcycles. I spoke to Lenny and told him I don't have much money and the bike is my only transport. He looked at the bike and told me the stator was shot and that it would take 3 days to repair an approximately R1000 for the rewinding plus about R400 or so for labour. that was the morning of 15 Aug, round 10. I said ok and booked the bike in for repair. according to my calculations, 3 days would put me at Mon 19 Aug, the bike should be done right? No, Lenny said he was still waiting for the stator from the rewinders. on Tues he said he had sent his driver 3 times to the rewinders to see if the stator was done! then Wed my wife (who is less patient than I am) called Lenny and demanded to know what was going on. He said he would call her back and in a flash, tada, the stator was done and ready to be delivered to Bavarian to be installed. 4 hrs later at 15:00 I got a call, the bike is done and I could collect. R1585 later, I have to say that it could've cost more and bike was clean!
