Generator that does not have over-rev management

I bought a ryobi generator from MiCa, it broke within 4 months of use, and the reason is that it was over-reved. do your large generators not have triggers that cancel any activity if its being over-reved, and what are the conditions of your guarantee in this case as i was expected to pay for the repairs.
