Samsung Fridge Freezer (Under extended warranty, still 15 months to run) packed up Thursday 25th July. Contacted Patricia at Northgate Branch (where we purchased the item) &E-mailed her the documents requested..No response. E-mailed again at 9.10a.m. Friday. No response. Contacted the Service dept 2 hour later by telephone and was told they had no receipt or report of this from Northgate. E-mailed the documents (AGAIN) to Mabel in Bellville. Call out booked with Liptronics (who advertise on their website that they operate 7 days a week).. Monday arrives, nothing heard since Friday so contact Tafelberg again. Eventually a technician calls from Liptronics. Arrive, spend 5 minutes, switch machine on, compressor gone. Report sent back to Mabel. Much chasing later the repair is authorised & told to contact Liptronics. They have no idea when the part will arrive. Forgive me if I expect proactive & expedient service but a prospective minimum 2 weeks (perhaps longer) without a fridge or freezer is unacceptable. 99% of communication & follow ups were instigated by me. I bought the item from YOU Tafelberg, Why should I have to do all the chasing.
