Spectacle Warehouse-Damaging of personal property

Yesterday 2013/07/17 I went to Spectacle Warehouse, Atterbury Value Mart branch. While in the store, one of the employees offer to wipe clean my glasses for me, so I hand them to him and he walks away. When he returns, he tells me that he has broken off a piece of the spectacles by accident. After making me believe that there was no way to fix it, he finally says that he can fix it while I wait so I browse around and wait for him to return. When he returns, it transpires that while fixing the small bit he had broken off, the machinery he used took off the white paint on the face of my glasses. More than anything, what upset me was his attitude about the whole incident. He maintained that it was not his fault and he was just doing me a favor by wiping my glasses clean for me. He got a second opinion about the matter and then told me to bring him a frame and he would give me a free lens. I did not understand the logic of this. If he cannot fix the specs, i expected to get a lens and a frame because u cant be expected to separate the two. I went into that branch with spectacles that were in tact and expected to leave in the same manner. This is completely unacceptable!!!
