How do I cancel my TV licence???

I was very diligent in TRYING to cancel my daughter's TV license immediately - I sent e-mail to the SABC and surprise, surprise! I got a response! They asked for my ID no.!
No further e-mails from my side get delivered - I get "no delivery" mails back all the time.
Now WHAT?? Anybody??
