My daughter purchased a little 7 week old jack russel from PARADISE PETS in FOURWAYS on the 24th June 2013. She was told that he had been given all his vaccinations, and paid R1300-00 for him. From when she brought him home, he was not right. Very listless/lethargic. Then he began to vomit and have diarrhoea. Yesterday, she took him to the vet, who informed her that he had trichomonas, worms and coccidia. Cost R928 to see the vet. The puppy was then given medication, and told that if he wasnt right in two days to bring him back. He was not doing very well today, so she took him back to the vet. Various tests were done on him, and it came about that he was anaemic and had cat flu! My daughters boyfriend phoned the pet shop and was told that the vet was lying and there is no such thing as cat flu! They then went in to the pet shop, and showed them the letter from the vet stating the little puppies condition, and they were so rude to my daughter. They told them that they were not responsible, and that the puppy was fine when he left them. They said it was my daughters fault he was sick, it must be dirty where she is! She has a perfectly healthy dachshund puppy!
