I bought the top of the range Go Live 1005 device and the live service didn't work for the first 2 weeks. I contacted customer service in UK and was told they had problems with Vodacom. they did offer me 2months free live service. I stayed loyal to the brand and waited for them to fix the problem. After a year I see they now offer lifetime maps for free. I contacted CS again and Maria told me that it's only applicable to new customers. so although I've bought 2 devices already I don't qualify. then she offered me 20% discount if I go buy a new device to get the free maps for life. it's extortion! Then she told me to go on the website to redeem my 20% when buying a new device. I had to inform her that we can't buy devices online in South Africa. After correcting her she came back to me and retracted the 20% agreed upon. Bottom line - they're not willing to help me. I find their attitude towards existing customers shocking and insulting to say the least. I will never promote Tom Tom again because they stab you in the back. It's the basics of running a business and keeping your customer base. I would advise everyone to seriously rethink buying into this greedy fxxxxx xx company.
