Recently, I went with my girlfriend to Giba Gorge, and hired bikes to do the MTB park. I was informed that I would be able to recieve a discount on food and beverages purchased to the tune of our entrance fee into the gorge (R40 each for riders). I checked this with 2 staff members (one a shop attendant, and the other one our waitress) whether this was true, and if we could get an R80 (R40 x 2) discount if we purchased food and drink there, with both of them saying this was true. Based on this information, we decided to order food and drinks. When it came time to pay, the waitress called the manager who said to us that we do not get a discount. She was rude to us, and shrugged off anything we had to say. I paid, and informed her we would not be coming back - something which the manager did not seem to care about.

They have absolutely no signage up stating their policy regarding entrance-fee refunds - the only information about it is what they tell you.

I think this is completely ridiculous, and they need to get their facts right!
