Caution when purchasing a Kodak Printe

Be careful when buying a new Kodak printer. The printer itself worked very well and printed good quality photos and documents. I opted for this printer because the replacement cartridges was relatively cheap in comparison to other printers. the reason is that you only replace the actual ink cartridge and not the printer-head as well. The problem is that the printer only allow a certain amount of cycles before it determines that the ink is depleted. When I tried to refill the cartridge it would not accept the old ink cartridge and still sees it as depleted. I had to go and buy a ink cartridge from Kodak, all good and well. After replacing the black ink the printer still refused me to print because the colour cartridge was also depleted. I can not even print black and white documents until I replace the colour cartridge as well. The fact that it is two different cartridges are of no consequence.

In short it seems that you will save a lot on ink, but you won't.
