Warning to all consumers planning to employ Abacus

In 2011 I paid Tim Horne the owner of Abacus a total of R430 000.00 to landscape my garden. He and his team removed almost every single plant out of my existing, mature garden, DESPITE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO LEAVE THE ORIGINAL PLANTS, and dumped a bunch of baby plants, which were left to watered by builders on site, and which were wilted and half dead by the time I saw what was going on. I refused to allow them access to my property until my plants were returned. They went to their Attorney to get me to pay them the rest of what they had quoted me. They failed but my garden was gone. I contacted the South African Landscapers Institute who had them listed as "Premium Members" although that has now changed. There are endless people being ripped off by these BUT NOTHING CHANGES. Today I find them advertising with a display in Hyde Park Shopping Centre. NOBODY PROTECTS THE CONSUMER. CRIME PAYS AS TIM HORNE AND ABACUS KNOW.
