AMH doesn't care about its consume

Miscellaneous

In the second half of last year I started experiencing mechanical issues on my Daihatsu Terrios.

I took it to a AMH dealer who worked on the vehicle. The vehicle issues persisted and I returned to have the vehicle 'checked-out', again. I was told that MAJOR WORK had to be carried out! And also that parts needed be shipped to Cape Town.

After 3 weeks of back and forth trips to the dealer and another 3 of waiting for parts I reported the matter to AMH management in Johannesburg, who committed to speeding up the delivery - I continued to wait. I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction and eventually escalated the matter to the AMH GM, Pedro Pereira.

There it was evident that AMH's flagrant disregard for the customer's experience starts at the top. My concerns were played down and the issue continued to drag.

Eventually, the parts arrived - I serviced my vehicle and traded it in for one not associated with the AMH brand.

I strongly urge anyone considering a vehicle sold by AMH look for a suitable alternative, because you are not likely to get a reliable vehicle, nor will you get fast or effective after-sales service! Even if you raise it with the General Manager...
